The task

Turn extensive business rules into a formal system

The client’s interpretation logic existed as extensive requirements. It had to become formalised rules with priorities and conflict resolution — producing a reading dozens of pages long for each user.

The solution

Calculation engine + rule engine

Planetary and house positions are computed from astronomical ephemerides. A rule engine then matches the combinations against an interpretation library and assembles coherent personalised text.
